About the Prints and the Process
For me, the culmination of the photographic process is the print. In a day and age where everything is seemingly built for an online presence, the crafting of a fine art print still remains the artisans journey. Many photographers bypass the print making process entirely, and outsource their images to large commercial print houses. This is only an option I employ for larger images, or specialty processes such as Aluminum and Lumacolor and even then, work only with those who have a craftsman's eyes for quality.
All of my images, up to 17" x 22" use only the finest archival papers and archival ink sets. From start to finish each image selected for the Fine Art Gallery, is developed to tweak out all of the subtle nuances of color, tonality, and depth. All prints are printed individually after the order is confirmed, and the final print is signed in the lower right hand corner. Each finished print is loosely rolled, with a protective cover sheet, and mailed in a heavy-weight tube.

Receipt of Your Print and Framing Suggestions
After you receive a print, and remove it from it's shipping tube, I recommend that you let the print uncurl naturally for 24 hours. After this, lay it on a clean and flat surface, carefully roll it out flat and use two books to hold the print in place. Make sure you keep the protective cover over the print during this process. It will flatten out easily with a day or so. If you prefer you can let your framer do this for you. I highly recommend a simple black frame and white mat. The mat should be cut to allow the image to float with a minimum of 1/2 all around the image. This provides some breathing room for the image and allows room for the signature to show.
Please note that I travel extensively, and due to the custom nature of my printing process, there can be a slight wait time to receive your crafted image. If you require something faster please let me know through the Contact Form below, and I will do my utmost best to meet your deadline.
